custom
hand-painted
ketubahs
Made especially for you
Alongside the designs you see in the collection, I also work directly with couples to create custom hand-painted Ketubahs that are personal and unique works of art.
Custom ketubahs start at 6000NIS (approx $1,600) which includes everything from design planning to express shipping, and go up from there based on design complexity and size.

Step 1 - The Concept
It all starts with an email from you to me. This opening email should include your names and wedding date, and most importantly: your inspiration and ideas.
This is a range of images that inspire you, and that you’d like to see incorporated. Please also include any of my existing designs that you like (you can send some screenshots from this page or other places on my website), as well as any comments about formatting you may have (circular designs vs square, etc.).
My email address is rachelle@thedelicatebrush.com
Step 2 - Making it Official
Once we have corresponded via email and I have an idea of design/complexity, I will be able to provide you with a quote.
I will send over a secure payment link and we are good to go. At the same time, you will select your ketubah text and submit your order form here. This pertains to the ketubah text itself, and will enable me to write it for you. For locals here in Israel, the text work is a little different, you can read about it all here.
IMPORTANT: Please discuss your text options and requirements with your rabbi before you submit your ketubah order. Your rabbi will be able to review the mockup and make any changes to the ketubah as needed (if you're not using a rabbi - that's fine too!). I prefer to keep all communication with the couple and not directly with rabbis, to keep the process streamlined.
Step 3 - Design and Planning
Now the fun begins! I will create a sketch and plan. Once we confirm the design plan, I am then able to use your order form to format your text digitally, ready to be printed. You (and your rabbi) will review the mockup and we will refine it until it’s good to print.
Step 4 - The Painting
Once both the design plan and text are confirmed, I print the text on 300gsm archival paper in my studio and the painting begins! I document a lot of this process over on my instagram, including process painting videos on Reels! The art is then shipped via DHL express, or collected from my studio in TLV.

Timelin
For custom hand painted designs, I require a minimum of 3 months prior to the wedding.
Any less may still be possible, with an additional rush fee of 500NIS and subject to availability, so please get in touch with your wedding date.
Please note: All custom designs are original watercolor or gouache paintings, none of the pieces in the below gallery are available as prints as they were all custom painted to order.
